The Appearance of Fast Moving Objects

Introduction

This short introduction offers an overview of the basic effects and facilitates the orientation in the central document.
First of all we explain the term retardation and the purely geometrically caused effects of run-time.

Afterwards we address the influence of the Doppler effect, the aberration of light and the transformation of intensity on the perception of the moving objects.
Finally, we illustrate the surprising effects due to accelerated motion. And we explain how in classical physics superluminal speed causes the superposition of two different images.
