In December 2000, several groups of physics teachers, pupils and amateur astronomers from Europe (Portugal, Tenerive, Bulgaria, Sweden, Finnland and Germany) and South Africa (Namibia) agreed upon taking simultaneous pictures of the moon. Besides forming new contacts and getting acquainted with internet collaboration, the main goals of the project are the following:
